just thought to share
sent from my aunt I guess that kids today are getting an education is college after all!! Subject: If only you really could get an A by giving answers like this The following is *supposedly* an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well. Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different Religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities: 1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. 2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you", and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number 2 must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct...leaving only Heaven thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God." THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A" |

Work work and more work
I am trying to start my own business as a coordinator. I have been real worried about doing this. Last night I realized that that I can pull this off. I successfully pulled it off. It is own thing to plan your own party and have it come off the way you want it to, but it is entirely different to plan it for some one else and have it come off the way they want it. I arranged every thing from the invites, table decorations and party favors to dealing with the serving staff and renegade champagne. And it came off exactly how my clint wanted it to go. Every one had fun and said that the place looked great. Yeah me and another great party. so if you know any one who wants any thing planed have them call me or email at jbconnections at hot mail dot com |

Homosexual marriage is now legal in Massachusetts. The laws defining marriage as being only between one man and one woman in the other 49 states are expected to be struck down. Good thing, Bad thing
Good thing as follows: David and I are almost have a house. We were waiting for him to get a job, so we could get the loan. David got the job. the seller has agreed to every thing we have asked and Troy is moving in with us. We will move to Finn Hill and I am very excited. The inspection came up good. with minor repairs that the seller said he would do. We will (I hope) have the house at the end of April. Giving us a month to move in. Bad thing as follows: the same day David found his job I was told I would lose mine. This may or may not be a bad thing I have it for at least another 6-9 months so I don't have to worry about it yet as far as the house is concerned and I won't do anything till after we have it. It is a question of what will I do after that. Options as follows: look for another job starting in june. Ride it out till the end collect unemployment and take a break ( I haven't had one since I left school)then start looking into the field of wedding planer/ event planer. look into another courier position that funny enough Gabe told me about when I ran into him today. I could quit after we get the house and then spend time on it for a month then look for a job. I don't know. I want to take a break then go into a different field, but we will need the money even more after we get the house. Well for now I have time to think about what to do. I think this is one of very few post that tell any one of what is going on. ~Opas Current Mood: contemplativeCurrent Music: Our house |

( Rant) God damn the FCC
They are now telling me what I can and can not listen to. I realize that not everybody likes the same thing, I don't like rap, country or christian music or stations, but that doesn't mean that I have the right to tell everyone else that they can't listen to it because I don't like it or know how to change the station. So who the hell do they think they are to tell me that I can't listen to the buzz or the rock because what they say or do is offensive to the Federal Chirstian Coalition. If you don't like it change the station. And what the hell happened to free speach and free choice? If you don't want your kids to listen then fucking be a parent and don't let them listen to it. But don't fuck what I like to listen to. I get tired of listening to the same 20 songs on the radio. I don't boycot what you like to listen to. I don't complain that there are religous stations. I don't have tv because I don't like what they show. But if you are going to start telling me what I can and can not listen to or watch you have another thing coming I will not let you do it. How dare you. If I wanted to be told that I would move to Canada because at least I can smoke what I want and marry who ever the hell I want. I am pissed PS anyone who is interested in fighting this with me write to your senator. Later to be posted is a potion against the FCC's recent changes... ~ Opas |
